Transfer Station

The Wells Transfer Station accepts solid waste and recycling materials from taxpayers and residents of the Town of Wells. 

Location and Hours

• 386 Willie Hill Road, Wells
• Tuesday through Friday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
  Saturday: 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
  Closed on holidays. Hours are subject to change.

Using the Transfer Station

• A valid Wells Transfer Station permit is required for all vehicles.  
• Permits may be purchased at Wells Town Hall during regular business hours or by mail through the By-Mail 2026 Transfer Station Permit Request Form. 
• $5 Standalone Transfer Station Permit or a $50 Multi-Use Permit (Transfer Station & beach parking)
• Only waste generated within the Town of Wells is accepted.

• Trash must be disposed of in official orange Pay-As-You-Throw bags.
