Special Events
Special events and school vacation field trips are always well attended. We offer a Haunted Halloween Hayride, Visit Santa Night, Santa Calling, Grade 3/4 Girls Basketball Tournament and an Easter Egg Hunt.
Parks & Recreation Facilities
Our Recreation Park consists of 70 acres which includes nature trails, soccer fields, softball field, playground, tennis & pickleball courts, and picnic area. Public bathrooms are open May through October.
Rental Shop: In the winter we rent out ice skates, and snowshoes.
Public Facility Use
The Town of Wells wants to encourage and support activities sponsored by the community associations, nonprofit organizations and the general public by providing various indoor and outdoor town facilities for use. The Public Facility Use Agreement (PDF) outlines the terms and conditions that must be adhered to. Please view our Facilities Page for more details on reserving a facility.
Volunteerism & Special Talents
We are always looking for new programs to offer to the community. If you have any interest or special talents and you would like to offer a program through us, please fill out our Volunteer / Coaches application, visit our volunteer page, or contact Tina LeBlanc at 207-646-5826. Many of our programs rely on volunteerism such as our sports programs and special events to help make them successful.
We appreciate all our volunteers and are always looking for more. If you are interested in helping with any of our programs, please give us a call and we will be happy to set you up.
